Under 19 Trials Announced |

As attention turns to the Under 19s World Championships in 2007, Wales have announced dates for the first round
of trials, to be held on December 3rd-4th 2005 at the Welsh Institute of Sport in Cardiff. The 2007 U19s World
Games are to be held 4th-11th August 2007 at Trent University, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada with Wales hoping to build
on the progress made at the 2003 Championships in Baltimore. It is hoped that a successful campaign in 2007 will act
as a springboard to even greater success at the 2009 World Cup.

Wales Look To 2009 |
On the 1st October 2005, Wales Lacrosse commenced a 4 Year Development Program to World Cup 2009.
The season will begin with 3 'Open' Squads to encourage maximum participation and to identify
new talent. In the New Year the squads will become 'invitational' as they prepare to compete
at the Home Internationals. Finally, there will be an Elite Summer Camp where the top Welsh
players will be selected to attend.

17-18 December 2005 Are you eligible to play for Wales?
Wales are recruiting players to join the development squad as they begin preparations for the 2009
World Cup. To play for Wales you must fulfil one of the following criteria:
- Born in Wales
- Welsh parents or grandparents
- Lived in Wales (including for University)
- Married a welshman
- Already represented Wales

Wales Management
The Management Team have now been selected. It is the first time that Wales have an American
Head Coach and a wider management team of such depth and knowledge.
The management is headed up by former Wales International Gemma Morgan who takes up the post of
Performance Director, and will be working with Head Coach Stephy Samaras and Assistant Coach Tory Hill.
Support is provided by physiotherapist Dan Young, fitness coach John Walton, psychologist Simon
Holliday and video analsyst Esther Laugharne.

Training Schedule Announced |
The training schedule for Wales' ladies for the forthcoming season has been announced, including dates for
Under 21s and Senior squad trials in preparation for the Home Internationals, to be held in February (U21s) and April
(Seniors). U21 trials are set for 11th and 12th February, with the U21 Home Internationals on the 18th and 19th March.
Senior Trials will also be held on the 11th and 12th February, for the territorials on the 25th and 26th Februrary in Liverpool and the 11th and 12th March in Wincester. More squad training weekends will be held in Cardiff for teh B team on the 8th and 9th April and in Loughborough from 6th to 9th April for the A team in preparation for the Senior
Home Internationals set for the 21st to 24th April.
