Celtic Cup 2005

25th - 28th July 2005, Cardiff

Ireland take gold at inaugural Celtic Cup

Ireland's 30 strong squad won the first ever International Lacrosse Celtic Cup, winning both their matches over Scotland and hosts Wales. The 6-4 and 6-5 victories were as close as the scoreline suggested, with Ireland showing tremendous resolve to overcome both opponents. In the battle for second, Scotland overran their Welsh opponents 14-7 to claim silver.
2007 Celtic Cup will be hosted by Ireland.
Thanks go to the City of Cardiff, Cardiff County Council and Sportsmatch Cymru, without whom the Celtic Cup could not have been held.
